Sound is BAD at high levels August 10, 2010 Daniel M. Kowal (USA) I'll keep this short. This TV looks great, and at normal volume levels sounds decent. However if you crank the volume to play Rock Band, anything bass-y is way too boomy, rattly, and not defined (clipping is the technical term).
I figured this would sound better than my old 46" Bravia since this had 10w speakers, and the bravia only had 5w, but that is not the case.
Everyone uses surround sound anyway, but if you play Rock Band or Guitar Hero drums, you want to hear the music over your drumming, and you're too lazy or cheap to hook up surround sound, then just watch out. Still no regrets on the purchase for the price I paid. The picture is GREAT!
Best Buy July 7, 2010 J. LI (San Jose, CA) Excellent! We replace with our 3 year old 65" MITSUBISH DLP TV, we see the improvement and really enjoy the 73" picture quality. We feel sound quality is even improved than the previous generation
DELIVERED WITH BROKEN SCREEN!! May 18, 2010 Dario Paya (Santiago, CHILE) 0 out of 18 found this review helpful
A terrible waste of time -- wait for delivery-- then they wouldn go to the basement, through one door only- and the screen was broken. Then wait for another week for them to pick it up ("the box must be closed!! or we wont take the tv back") and another week for the refund. Should I go somewhere else?
Great TV May 9, 2010 Rebecca Thomas (Kansas City) 0 out of 17 found this review helpful
I have not yet bought this TV, but I will soon. It has a great picture if set up correctly. With this TV, as with all Projections, You have sit back quite aways. If you are too close it looks like it bends at the corners, but sit back at the right distance and ENJOY!
WOW picture is drop dead gorgeous April 24, 2010 Samira R. Glass (east chicago, indiana United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Well let put it like this, it looks better than my old sony 60" I've had in the past. I am amazed at all the picture tuning you can do for a beast like this.Add the fact that it is 3D ready just waiting for the adapter to come out for it. When I play fight night round 4 it feels like I'm watching it on tv instead of playing the game. Also I suggest you get the matching stand to with it. All tho I didn't buy mines from Amazon, bought it from Costco I came out on top I paid 1299 for tv and stand there is no way in hell you gonna find a deal like that, but really if you are into big screeners for your basement i really recommend you get one of these or the 82"er trust me if I had a few more thousands in my pocket i would jump for the 82"er. my only down side to this tv is the remote, its quite boring but my onkyo remote takes care of all that and there is no USB slot but not an big issue. To really appreciate the picture quality i suggest you sit down and play with the picture set up. You won't be disappointed with this tv too bad I can't hang this on a wall lmao, I normally don't post reviews because everybody else does a good job of telling it you......
